For me, the work has always been about the unknown relationships between perception, nature, time and structure. Compelled by the desire for a deeper understanding of nature's creative, directive force, my painting process matured into an evolutionary, improvisational interpretation of the natural process. By pouring paint directly on to unprimed canvas, the result is controlled by natural phenomenon and reflects the random, gradual changes determined by nature and the continuum of time.
